Tooling

All the necessary tooling, whether special purpose or standard items are readily available and are held in stock for immediate delivery. They are all relatively inexpensive and therefore do not represent a major running cost for a Die Maker router.

Long reach cutter for machining the D & D Knockout foam. This works well at up to 4m/min and will cut both thicknesses in a single pass. The best way to stop small pieces of foam moving when they are cut out is to use the special ‘ramp in’ feature. (See ‘software’ page for more details.) This significantly reduces the cutting forces at the end of the cut which is the most critical point.

We also supply specialist tooling for cutting the Pertinax counters. These include drills for the mounting holes as well as a selection of slot cutting and chamfering tools.
